The main purpose of the role:

The role of a Quality inspector is to conduct visual and dimensional inspections on fabricated components in a timely manner. The Quality Inspector will report directly to the Quality Standards Officer and support the Welding Inspector and the quality department in fulfilling the company’s accreditation requirements of inspections in the factory, raise quality improvement reports, maintain accurate records, and communicate any issues to the management team.

Duties include:

• Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning non-compliant materials
• Inspect in process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating any non-compliance through QMS reporting system
• Confirm finished products comply to specifications, returning non-compliant products for re-work and updating QMS records.
• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarise rework and waste, and input data into quality database
• Investigate errors and develop corrective actions and monitor the effectiveness of preventative actions as per IS0:9001 Quality Management System

• Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations
• Work with relevant colleagues to resolve issues in timely manner
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational and training opportunities and reading relevant technical publications
• Accomplish quality and company mission by completing related results as needed.

• CSWIP 3.0 Visual Welding Inspection or PCN Level 2 (ISO 9712) Welding / Visual Inspection

Relevant experience
• Understanding of fabrication / welding techniques
• Knowledge of measuring equipment (Tape measures, vernier callipers, combination sets)
• Knowledge of ISO:9001 Quality Management Systems

Project Coordinator

The main purpose of the role:

The role of Project Coordinator is to provide effective and efficient management of our telecom’s orders, in the operations department, to ensure our customer expectations are always met with coordination of deliveries and supplied services.

Duties include:
  • Manage daily purchase orders for new and existing tower orders
  • Liaise with site teams regularly to update forecast and system information to meet the clients’ expectations for accurate and efficient delivery times.
  • Support the management team with site access surveys including using portals for AP/Wireless/WIG/Arqiva/MBNL, raising REQ Numbers)
  • Support the management team with rigging resource requests and booking resources on the company systems
  • Manage business compliance for various legislative requirements including LOLER, PPE Inspections & Training Certificates
  • Provide data to create the Rigging Utilisation Report and support the Operations Manager in the delivery of this data
  • Managing customer expectations with real time deliveries
  • Provide high-level customer service to all staff and departments you liaise with
  • Complete the customer report on a weekly or monthly basis
  • Provides financial and commercial support
  • Escalates engineering issues to the Project Manager as relevant
  • Manages simple profit and loss statements
  • Assists in the scheduling of engineers in line with project SLAs
  • Arranges site access, site access permits as required by the project(s) and in conjunction with the project schedule.

The main purpose of the role:

As a rigger you will be required to set up the rigging equipment, operate heavy machinery to erect and install structures and equipment and dismantle rigging after the job.

The rigger will also be required to attend site surveys and climb down inspections, to support the wider business with site work and installation of steelwork and generally to complete tasks agreed by the business with our clients relating to the building and maintenance of steel structures.

The rigger is also required to communicate with the rigging team leader and to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations are always adhered to.

Duties include:

• Inspect and prepare loads that need to be moved
• Set up and levelling heavy equipment machinery
• Prepare rigging equipment including beans, pulleys, clamps and bolts

• Inspect rigging before final use
• Monitor and maintain rigging equipment
• General duties associated with climbing and working at height on antenna mast and tower support structures
• Installation of feeder support systems and TX link supports
• Manoeuvre loads using heavy equipment machinery by hand
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
• Communicate with the rigging team
• Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post rigging inspections

Qualifications:

• Certificate for working at heights
• IPAF/First aid at height/Site Access systems/Slinger Signaller (Desirable)

Relevant experience
• Able to climb and work safely at height

• In depth knowledge of rigging equipment and heavy machinery (Desirable)

The main purpose of the role:

The role of the complex projects manager is to provide full life cycle management and success of complex specialist structure projects. The complex projects manager will ensure that excellent client service is being delivered with positive commercial outcomes while always maintaining safe working practices.

The role of the complex projects manager is a varied and challenging role, delivering our most complex structures across the OOHM, Defence, Exterior Lighting and Telecoms Markets.

Duties include:

• Attending sites for surveys and multi-skilled visits, including visits to assist with tender preparation, assessing foundation positions, general build and delivery / unload area, traffic/pedestrian management and lifting requirements.

• Assisting the estimating team with considerations, including but not limited to design, civils and steelwork costs, build methodology, plant and equipment requirements.

• Agreement of project objectives

• Actively participate in handovers from the sales team to set the grounds for project success

• Ensure the group Health and Safety standards are met and maintained during all operations, including full oversight of the construction phase health and safety plan.

• Carry out all work in accordance with the company QA procedures and CDM regulations

• Develop a detailed project plan, tracking and driving progress towards project completion.

• Instruct all elements of site work including site-based investigations (geotechnical, topographical etc) civils work, traffic management, welfare, deliveries, site installation teams, heavy lifts (via an AP).

• Monitor/manage sub-contractors and third parties/vendors

• Management of all project stakeholders, both internal and external

• Manage project budgets to ensure all legislate contract costs are recovered and works are delivered safely within budget.

• Ensure clear understanding and compliance with the client’s instructions and contractual communication within the team.

• The role may require occasional travel and working away from home, UK wide

 

Qualifications:

• ONC/HNC in an Engineering or Civils discipline
• CSCS Card and Safety for Senior Managers training

The role of the trainee estimator is to support the structural and architectural division in preparing responses to a variety of enquiries as well and preparation of technical and commercial proposals for tendering purposes.

Duties include:

• To gain experience in working from technical drawings and specifications to produce concise and effective technical proposals in response to customer requests
• To gain experience and learn how to deliver accurate tenders with commercial aspects to meet the clients’ expectations
• To gain experience on how to investigate ways of reducing costs through supply chain, methods of fabrication, installation or value engineering
• To understand how to complete maintenance of tender project documentation to governance requirements and standards
