The Main Purpose of the Job:

We are recruiting for a Quality Inspector to conduct visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured components and materials in a timely manner. You’ll report directly to the quality manager and support internal roving inspections in the factory, raise rejections, maintain accurate records, conduct Non-Destructive Tests (NDTs) and convey any issues to your line manager and project managers.

Duties Include:

  • Carry out visual and dimensional inspections of all fabricated and welded parts in accordance with company procedures, using as reference engineering technical drawings.
  • Maintain accurate Pass/Fail records of parts inspected.
  • Conduct normal activities associated with the functional needs of a quality department, at the request of the Quality Manager.
  • Communicate any issues within the factory to the persons concerned.
  • Capable of setting and maintaining excellent housekeeping standards for the team.

Skills Required:

  • Read and understand engineering technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment (Tape measures, Vernier Callipers, Combination sets).
  • Understanding of fabrication/welding techniques.
  • Appreciation of Non-Destructive Tests.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office.
  • Calibration experience (preferred).

Qualifications:

Minimum GCSE Grade 5 (B) in;

  • English
  • Maths
  • Science

A-Levels (Preferred)

  • Maths
  • Science
