The Main Purpose of the Job:
Enquiry generation, relationship management, and business development within the Structural & Architectural Steelwork industry for the Swann Engineering Group.
Duties Include:
• To develop the structural and architectural steelwork division, obtain new clients and raise the Group’s profile
• To assist with preparation of sales budgets
• To generate sales with new customers
• Develop business relationships and reputation with existing clients
• Monitor and understand the status and likely outcome of live projects
• Produce monthly sales summaries
• Maintain a comprehensive CRM
• Administering and maintaining the live order book
• Live enquiry and order book reporting
• Refer potential business to other business sectors (Telecoms)
• Predominantly external sales role visiting customers
• To build good working relationships with office staff internally
• Other duties appropriate to the level of this role
Qualifications:
• Proven experience and success in business development
• Excellent understanding of the construction/housebuilding sector
• Cost estimation preferable but not essential
• Thorough, analytical approach
• Good understanding of engineering preferred
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Computer literate and conversant in the use of software packages such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Full, Clean Driving Licence
