Swann Engineering Group Ltd. is delighted to have donated over 2 tonnes of box, tube, and sheet steelwork to aid in the development of future manufacturing engineers currently studying at Colchester Institute’s Braintree Campus.
Our latest delivery of steelwork to the college provides their engineering students with additional raw materials to use during their practical workshop sessions and an opportunity to develop crucial hands-on fabrication experience.
Chris Dortel, Mechanical Engineering/Welding Fabrication Course Tutor at the Colchester Institute, commented:
“We are very grateful for companies like Swann Engineering Group donating sheet, plate, and section metals as it enables us as a college to showcase and teach our students the wide range of fabrication methods and welding techniques utilised throughout the engineering industry.
We are all aware of the increasing demand for engineers here in the UK and we value Swann’s commitment to helping our students develop the skills required to achieve their aspirations and career goals in the engineering sector”.
