Swann Install Over 280 Lighting Structures at the Port of Felixstowe

Swann Group have now installed over 280 lighting structures at the Port of Felixstowe, the largest container port in the UK and one of the largest in Europe.

The Towermaster R Series tower is the most frequently used structure at the port which handles over 3.4 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU’s) per year, with over 40% of the UK’s container trade passing through its 3,773 metre long quayside.

The best-placed port in Britain and with storage capacity of 118,000 TEU’s, Felixstowe’s unique position on the East Coast ensures it is well placed to process large volumes of container traffic from ports in the range from Hamburg to Le Havre.

The facility has an immense focus on its floodlighting requirements given the amount TEU’s passing at all hours of the day and night.
